More cleaning...

Oh does it ever end?! Since last weekend I have had it in me to get the living room delt with. So far I've moved the kids area out along with all the Mega Bloks & foam ABC's & the ABC banner. I put the TV over there & moved my craft shelf & the movie shelf on that side of the room too. I can't believe how much its opened up in here. Its so much nicer than before, if only I could get the kids to sit further away from the TV I'd be alright. Now I'm doing laundry...so far I'm on the 7th load!

Val's check in...

Val had his check in with the surgical specialist on Thursday (Feb. 15) & there is nothing there to worry about. He had suspected that it was draining internally & thankfully there is no trace of it left. I was so relieved, for him & for me!

Cleaning Day...

Major overhaul on the girls' room today. They're getting a new bed & we're trying to make room for it. So far I've thrown out at least 4 kitchen sized garbage full of junk! & I'm sure there's lots more where that came from. I really like the bed we got them, we bought it from Robyn who never used it...its a $1200 set(Although I found it online for $800). When we first heard she was getting rid of it she wanted $600 for it, then the price went down to $300 & we still never considered it, then she dropped down to $200 & we decided "why not?" the kids will like it. Its pretty much like a bunk bed, it has a ladder going up to the top & a slide coming down & the under part of it is kinda like a fort with a curtain & little pockets on the curtain. We'll be able to fit a twin mattress under it & since Thorra has had the top bunk for so long we're giving the top of this one to Sunnie. Thorra was kinda pouty about it until I told her that she would have a little more privacy on the bottom.

This is what the bed looks like...minus the sheets that this shows on it & the mattress that we're going to put put underneath it.

So I think they'll have fun with it.

They are almost finished with they're room, they've done some fighting & some arguing but I'm proud of them cause it was a mess. I'm taking my much needed break from it while they are cleaning off the Fisher-Price kitchen so we can get rid of it. I'm not to sure who to give it to so I think we're going to put it on freecycle.

Hopefully after we get this done, next weekend we can tackle the living room...I have to work on our old computer--get all my old pictures off of it & wipe the hard drive so it runs better. Then I'm getting a small desk from my dad's house, one that matches Thorra's dresser & I plan on putting that computer in they're room so they can play games on it & I can move this computer off of the dining table onto the desk in the living room that the old computer is on now. Seems so simple writing it down, now that its down I hope it can happen!!!

He giggled!!!

Well I never got to post this in my other blog in Windows Live Spaces so I'm posting this here. On Sunday (Feb 4) my sweet little boy finally giggled! I was tickling under his chin & out the blue he giggled! The next day I got him to do it by kissing his cheeks back & forth...since then I've had him do a few more times but so far he's still into his "whole body smiles".
For now I'm doing my laundry & Valden's & trying to get my little girlies to get ready for bed, that's always a trying task!

New start

So I'm starting this again.. I had a Window Live space but that pretty much crapped out so I copied & pasted most of my old blog here. Hopefully this will work well. For tonight I'm watching Emily (my best friends daughter & my daughter's best friend--hope that makes sense!) For ow I have to go & feed Val & then make dinner...I'm thining omlets & salad.

Just a quick check in...Valden is going through anoher groth spurt & this is one of the few chances I've been seperated from him the last 3 days, he's watching a baby einstein video that he really shows interest in. I feel bad cause I don't want to feel like I'm putting him in front of the TV but if that's the way I can get anything done then so be it. At least it's a decent video, one about neighborhood animals. Well I'm off to cook dinner, I think its pancakes, hashbrowns, & some kinda fruit.

Updates...

Valden: Is 3 months old! I can't believe it, he's growing so fast! His weight is up to 11lbs 3oz & I believe he's 23 1/4inches long. He's smiling all the time now & is such a happy baby, no giggles yet but some happy squeals. On a scary side he has a small bump on his butt that he may have to go in & have lanced when he's a little older--maybe 6 months or so :( My poor baby! The pic added is Val on his 3 months "birthday"

Sunnie: Speaking of growing up fast her 5th birthday is tomorrow! Thorra keeps saying how she remembers Sunnie at 2 months old & she blinked & now she's 5. We just found out on Fri she has a UTI so now she's on meds for that. Hopefuly that will put an end to her wetting problems, I feel bad though, with as many UTI's as my mom gets I should've known it was something like that. But atleast now we know & she's on meds to help.

Thorra: What can I say...she's 10 now & everytime I look at her she's taller! Her & Harlei are writing back & forth now which I think is great. Its a good way for her to improve her letter writing skills but even more its a wonderful way for them to get to know each other better. As always she's doing great in school...always proud of her there. Although at home her lips are getting to be a bit of a problem! Everytime Fred or I say something to her she has some comeback remark. But since that's really my only problem & am thanking my lucky stars!

I forgot to add that I had Valden weighed again yesterday, he's up to 8lbs 7.5oz. Up 3.5 oz from last week's dr. visit. He's finall starting to fill out-his legs & face are getting chubbier. Its such a nice feeling to know that I'm the one doing it, no formula feedings this time around & I'm so proud of myself! ! In fact that is what he's doing right now & I'm typing one handed. We(Valden, Thorra, & I) have to get ready to go pick Sunnie up from school then head to the store to pick up a few things for Thanksgiving tomorrow, oh & to Blockbuster for some more movies. We'll probably get Freaky Friday & some other X-mas movie.

Starting this again with a new addition to my beautiful family...We're so excited to have our baby boy! Valden Sean Fredrick was born Oct. 20, 06 @ 4:50pm. My life seems a little more complete now, not that I don't adore my girls but I'm so happy to finally have my sonI am absolutely in love!

Today has been hetic to say the least...both girls home from school & testing my patience as best that they can. Sunnie stayed home from school not feeling well & Thorra is home for Thanksgiving vacation. They're supposed to trying to get their laundry together & the room in some kind of an order. LOL I wish I could get this house in some kind of an order! Valden is napping in his swing so I'm gonna go start dinner--breakfast for dinner, blueberry pancakes, eggs & tater tots...
