Yup...

I got a hold of Sunnie's Dr. yesterday & had it confirmed, she has another UTI. The second one in like 2 months (although personally I don't think she was ever completely over the first one). So we have another antibiotic (4 times a day for 7 days) & referral to a urologist. Poor kid, at least she isn't in any pain, her only symptoms are frequent little accidents & her urine has a strong odor. These little accidents were driving me crazy though, she was going through 3-4 pairs of undies a day! This coming from a kid that's been potty trained since she was 2! But with any luck after seeing the urologist we will just have my thoughts confirmed (that she never fully recovered from her last one) & that there are no underlying problems.

More foods...

Today Val tried applesauce today, his first fruit. He really enjoyed it! I can't wait to see what he thinks of bananas!

Guess Who's

My little Wooby man!

More Dr. Visits...

Looks like I'm going to have to call the surgical specialist for Val again :( His problem is acting up again...I let it go last time & let it drain on its own, but this time since its back he should see the specialist. It sucks but what are you gonna do? I really hope it doesn't require surgery...

& Sunnie needs to see the Dr again, I think she has another UTI...So I guess I'll be on the phone tomorrow to try & get these kiddos in...

Valden's Adventure's in Eating!

Well last night we finally tried all the veggies that we're going to try for now! He had squash & loved it! So far he has had (in order) rice cereal & breastmilk, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, & squash. He enjoyed all of them except for the peas, but I really don't blame him there, those are ones I am not fond of either! So I probably won't be pushing them! But out of the green veggies that were there I kinda figured peas were a little more sweeter that green beans.

I'm still looking into getting a food grinder so I can give him what we eat (fruit & veggies). Thorra & Sunnie both love broccoli & pretty much any kind of veggie so I'm hoping to keep that up!

Thorra's favorite baby food was squash, Sunnie's was carrots & Fred's vegitarian hotdogs (which she still really enjoys) Thorra & I can't stand them but still like garden burgers & (morningstar) grillers.

It looks like I'm going to be trying to do multiple postings tonight as I haven't done much for a while...LOL that's what you get in having 3 kiddos! The only reason I'm on here now is because Thorra is outside with Valden chatting with our neighbors son who is 4 months older than he is, but Val likes anyone small!

Updates...

Updates:

Me: Notta lotta just staying home with the kiddos, trying to get some of this baby weight off, but unfortunately I don't think I've had much luck. I have a feeling its not really going to budge until I quit nursing like it did with Sunnie...its not fair, I thought nursing was supposed to help you lose weight not gain it! Oh well I'd rather give Val the best & get back to being skinny later. It still sucks though!

Fred: Still busy with school, almost all of his classes are in the late afternoon to early evening-the earliest he gets out is 8:10pm, the latest is 9:40pm. He's also doing his internship during the da at a clean & sober house which is going really well. So he's just busy, busy, busy!

Thorra: Is doing wonderful in school, the last report card I got she has all E's & a few G's (basically A's & B's), her Lexile Reading scores are very high as usual, the scores for Above average for the 1st trimester~700+ Second trimester~750+ Third trimester~800+ Thorra's score for the 2nd trimester was 959! Plus she made the Honor Roll! I am one proud mama! The only problem we are having with her, is the fact that she loves to talk back. I am so sick of it, half the time she talks to us like we're her friends. Doesn't matter what is said she has a response for it. Oh well, I guess if that's my only gripe I should be thankful!

Sunnie: She's also doing wonderful in school, her preschool teachers tell me she's already ready for kindergarten(which was really no surprise). She can write her whole name (first & last) & now they have her working on her full first name, Harrison. After I sign her in in the morning she signs herself in & since she was flying through that so quickly they started having her practice her full name, which she has no problems with. She is registered for kindergarten at the same school Thorra goes to so next year her & Thorra will go to the same school, then Thorra will go on to Jr. high *sniff*

Valden: Wow I cannot believe he's already almost 6 months old-11 more days! Still nursing strong(in fact I'm typing one-handed right now!) Still not quite sleeping thru the night, although some nights are better than others. Some nights he sleeps from 10:30pm to 4am other nights he goes down at 11pm then up at 1 then 3 then 5 then 7...fun fun fun! Other than that, he's rolling over tons-he's all over the floor! Loves tummy time cause he can get all over the place by rolling! Loves his Baby Einstein videos, I rent them from Blockbuster & have my grandpa burn copies for me! He's starting to sit up by himself but he gets too excited & falls over. He has really good hand-eye coordination(sp?) & really loves to chew on his toys. All in all a pretty typical but wonderful 5 1/2 month old little boy, such a joy (we have waited for, for so long) to have in the house!

We're Back!

Well we weren't gone long though! Thursday evening I decided that we needed to get away from here for a little while So Friday morning me, Fred, Sunnie & Val headed over to a local Comfort Inn & checked in. While Sunnie, Val & I were getting settled in Fred went & picked Thorra up early from school. Sunnie didn't know anything about it until were getting in the van to go (although she knew something was up because I made her find her swimsuit) & neither did Thorra.

Fred had to go to school for a while to get some thigs done so it was just me & the kids for a while. KMart was in walking distance so we headed over there cause I needed some shorts to swim in & Val needed more than one swim diaper. So we got back & went swimming, the girls loved it, Val wasn't so sure but he didn't not like it so I figured he just needed to get used to the idea. After about an hour I finally dragged the girls out (Valden had since nursed & fell asleep) & we went back to our room & found Fred was back from school.

We hung out for a while & watched TV (which was nice since we don't have cable right now) mostly Animal Planet, & the girls wanted to go swimming again. This time around Valden loved it! Fred & I kept trading off turns with him so we could both get in some swim time. This time when he got huingry I just nursed him while sitting on the steps of the pool & he couldn't wait to get back in the water when he was done. He wasn't much for splashing (which for bathtime could be a very good thing!) but loved being on his belly & kicking his feet! He was all smiles & squeals! The girls really liked getting into the jacuzzi, getting all warm & then getting back into the pool(which was heated too).

After we got back from swimming for about 2 hours or so, Val nursed & then crashed(this was at about 7:30pm). We decided on Carl's Jr. for dinner so Fred went & picked that up, we ate then I called my mom to see if she wanted to come over & swim with us. So for the 3rd time that day we were back in the pool from about 8:30 till almost 10, the whole time Val was still asleep with Fred! He wore his little self out in the pool! He didn't get up until about 11:30 & then was up off & on throughout the night...joy for me!

Now to the part that sucked, I didn't take the camera in to the pool room with us last night cause we planned on going swimming again before we checked out...well I was up at around 4:30 this morning with Val & the power went out...pitch black. The sun finally came up & the girls woke up so we headed down to the lobby for breakfast (power still out) They had cold cereal & juice, I had yogurt & juice. I stopped & asked the lady at the desk about the power & she told me what I already knew, that the power went out at about 4:30 that morning~duh! And that their back up system also failed, we were also with out a phone. We go back to the room but first make a stop at the pool room cause the girls are nagging me about it, I told them that even if it was open it would be cold cause the power was out. Yup room still locked. So we hung out in a dark quiet room playing board games for a while, every 20 minutes or so the girls & I would make another trip to check the pool, still locked. So about 10am we packed the van back up & headed home.

Besides the power being out we all had a blast & really want to do this again soon. It also confirmed my thoughts in putting all three of the kids in swimming lessons this summer. Thorra took them last summer but the pre-school class was full so Sunnie didn't get to. But I'm getting over there early this year, there's even a kids introduction to water for babies 6 months to 2 years, I know Val will love that!
